Hi, and welcome. I hereby declare this to be the place where I post my ravings.
With luck, there will be a bit of information here and there as well.

Vapinerd. Maybe you should look at this article about the difference between a geek and a nerd.

You seem like you might be more social, a geek, and that’s why I commented.
Thanks for the comment. To be honest, I find the effort to differentiate between geeks and nerds a little bit puzzling. As far as I understand, the meanings of the two words have swapped places more than once in the course of history. Myself, I tend to use them interchangably. In Norwegian, “geek” is not a commonly used word anyway. We usually say “nerd” and that’s that.
Anyway, my social side may – or may not – be part of my Internet persona, which may – or may not – be completely different from my meatspace persona. 😉 I believe that most people are many-faceted anyway. It seems most of us adapt our personality quite a bit to the situation, whether we’re aware of it or not.
The name of this blog is not set in stone, by the way. I only chose it because that was what came up in my mind there and then. When a better name pops into my mind, I’ll probably change it. Or not. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
In the USA, the difference between a geek and a nerd is simple. A geek makes money/earns a living doing what he does, while the nerd lives with mom.
